PowerBox Royal SR2

Product description

The PowerBox Royal SR2 again sets technical standards and impresses with features that were previously only available in professional aviation. P²-ServoBus, 26 channels, 12-axis gyro, two pairs of controllers, and a color display are just some of the technical refinements that await ambitious pilots in the PowerBox Royal SR2.

The PowerBox Royal SR2 is built into an extremely compact and elegant housing with an aluminum heat sink. The large cooling surface removes the heat from the 4 controllers, which in pairs provide the energy for all 26 servos. Both regulator pairs can be set to 4 different voltages. This means that standard 6V servos can be combined with powerful HV servos without additional controller modules.

For the first time, all data from all servos can be monitored in the model and their parameters can be set from the transmitter¹. The development goes back to the introduction of our P²-BUS protocol, the aim of which was always the complete control of all components in the model. The PowerBox Royal SR2 has four independent P²-BUS interfaces that can be set to two different voltage levels.

Servos with an integrated P²-BUS or normal servos with the new P²-ServoBridge can be connected to these interfaces. The P²-ServoBridge is an adapter that converts the P²-BUS into a PWM signal for normal servos and has an infinitely adjustable electronic fuse built-in. A bus system can be implemented in the model that is clear in terms of safety and the performance of normal PWM cabling is superior.

All receiver and power supply data are shown on the color display and all settings are made in the easily understandable, structured, and bilingual menu.

The TFT display is also built into a high-quality aluminum housing and is easy to read even in full sunlight.

In conjunction with the optionally available iGyro SAT, the PowerBox Royal SR2 provides a 12-axis gyro system that is functionally unrivaled. Even the most complex models can be set up in just a few minutes using the setup wizard. Afterward, the gyro sensitivity is learned in a setting flight in the air with a rotary encoder. A whole range of additional expert settings then allows the pilot to adapt the gyro effect individually to his wishes.

Of course, a GPS III sensor can also be connected to the PowerBox Royal SR2. This automatically adjusts the gyro sensitivity to the flight speed.

The 26 outputs of the PowerBox Royal SR2 are not only adequately supplied with the power they can also be assigned different functions individually.

All outputs can be assigned direct and gyro channels or a door sequencer function. The PowerBox Royal SR2 has a newly developed automatic servo matching function. This means that up to three servos can be automatically aligned with one another via 5 points in a few seconds. All that is needed is to select the mechanically linked servos and start the process. Each output can of course also be set manually using the servo matching function in the graphic menu.

The system is complete with the two integrated door sequencers. In addition to the chassis, canopy controls with locking can also be implemented without additional devices. The first door sequencer can be taught within a few minutes with the help of a setup assistant - there are 3 modes to choose from. Further special settings are very easy to set thanks to the graphic representation in which the entire chronological sequence of the sequence can be seen at a glance.

For PowerBox and Jeti pilots, the PowerBox Royal SR2 can be operated and adjusted almost completely² from the transmitter! Telemetry for battery and receiver data is fully expanded for all supported systems.

With the GPS III connected, GPS data is also available - as long as the respective remote control system supports it.

¹ As with the previous PowerBox Royal SRS, the P² servo bus system works for all remote control systems. The P²-ServoBridge can even be plugged in and adjusted directly at the PowerBox Royal SR2 at the data port. This means that no additional USB or Bluetooth adapter is required to set the channel assignment or the cut-off current. The ability to adjust the P²-BUS servos or the P²-ServoBridge from the transmitter is, however, withheld from the PowerBox transmitters. The telemetry data from the individual servos can only be transmitted with the powerful telemetry system of the Core and Atom remote controls.
